Teen accused of stealing car from dealer’s lot

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) – Police stopped a teen for driving without headlights and say they discovered he was driving a vehicle stolen from a car dealer’s lot.

The unnamed 17-year-old man was pulled over on East 2nd Street in Jamestown around 2 a.m. on Thursday. Troopers say the teen could not name who owned the vehicle and they discovered the one plate on the vehicle had been stolen.

Further investigation found the vehicle had been taken from a dealer’s lot.

The teen was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, failure to use headlights, operating a motor vehicle with improper plates, and other traffic violations.

He was released to his father.
