LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) – Thousands of women came out for ‘Dirty Girl Mud Run’ in Lancaster Saturday.

Participants laced up their sneakers to take part in the 5k obstacle course at Elegant Builders Raceway Park.

“Dirty Girl is just a great cause. It’s a way for girls to come out and get muddy and get active with their friends while supporting the surviviors, the fighters. It’s just a great cause, Bright Pink is our partner who supports breast and ovarian cancer research. It’s just a great way to get everyone out to have fun with your friends,” said live Keinath.

Organizers say a percentage of the entry fees will be donated to a breast and ovarian cancer charity.
