Four days after DWI conviction, driver accused of drunk driving

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) – Four days after an Amherst woman was convicted of drunk driving, she was stopped again and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita said 28-year-old Jenna Hoyt was arrested on April 20. Four days prior, she was convicted of DWI in the Town of Amherst.

When she was stopped, Hoyt allegedly had amphetamines in her possession. She is facing charges of felony DWI and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

She was arraigned Tuesday morning. If convicted, Hoyt could face a maximum sentence of four years in state prison. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
