Two universities get high praise on annual college rankings

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two local universities can brag they’re among the 2015 top universities, according to U.S. News and World Report.

The University at Buffalo is ranked number one for students with the least amount of debt amongst public colleges and 8th among public and private institutions.

The Report also ranks UB as the 48th best public “national universities” – up three spots from 2014. This is the first time UB has cracked the top 50. Among both private and public national university, UB ranked 106 – an increase of six positions from last year.

St. Bonavenuture also received high praise. The Report lists SBU as the third best value in the North – that’s up two positions from 2014. SBU also ranked 24th on the Report’s all-criteria ranking of best regional universities in the North.
