$150 million lawsuit for Kid Rock concert punch

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A serious punch at a Kid Rock concert at Darien Lake that left a man with permanent injuries has led to a $150 million lawsuit.

Jason McNeil, 44, from Birmingham, Alabama was attending Fourth of July concert last year with his wife Pam when he was punched in the head by Craig Lawson of Ontario, Canada as he was leaving.

McNeil suffered a severe brain injury that has left him with trouble walking and talking.

The Buffalo News reports McNeil’s family has filed a lawsuit against concert promoters and Darien Lake, alleging inadequate security measures.

Lawson was allegedly drunk when he delivered the punch and had been ordered to leave the grounds. He was sentenced to one year in Genesee County Jail last month.
