Man accused of burglarizing two southern tier businesses

WELLSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Wellsville man is facing charges related to multiple burglaries in the village.

After obtaining information, police raided Roger Raney’s home on Osborne Street Saturday and took the 57-year-old into custody.

Police say Raney burglarized the Hanover Street Laundromat on July 8. Officers say he again tried to break into that business on September 7, but was unsuccessful and instead broke into JB’s Nightclub on East Dyke Street.

Raney is charged with two counts of third degree burglary, third degree attempted burglary, second degree criminal mischief and two counts of third degree criminal mischief, two counts of fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property, two counts of petit larceny and possession of burglar’s tools.
