Man charged with selling drugs after warrant arrest

WELLSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – After arresting a man on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court, police charged him with selling drugs in the Village of Wellsville.

Andrew Burr was arrested Saturday on a warrant and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail on $5,000 bail. While there, the 32-year-old Jamestown man was charged with third degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance passed on information gathered by a joint investigation with Wellsville Police, State Police, and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.

Burr was again arraigned and this time taken to the Allegany County Jail on $15,000 bail.
