ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP MODIFIED) — Sources told News 4 that Buffalo Bills backup receiver and key special teams player Marcus Easley sprained his MCL and will be out for about four to six weeks.
Coach Doug Marrone declined Monday to reveal the severity or nature of the injury at practice on Monday.
Easley was hurt while blocking during a kickoff return in the third quarter of a 22-10 loss to San Diego on Sunday.
Trainers spent several minutes treating Easley on the field. The fifth-year player required help to get to the sideline and was eventually carted off to the locker room.
Marrone also had no updates on the status of safety Da’Norris Searcy (left ankle) and starting left guard Chris Williams (back), who were hurt against San Diego as well.
Buffalo (2-1) plays at Houston (2-1) on Sunday.
