Driver accused of having pot, pills, stun gun

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Erie County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for allegedly having marijuana, Xanax pills and a stun gun.

Deputies stopped 19-year-old Ryan Hessler, of the Town of Tonawanda, for traveling at 61 mph in a 45 mph zone on Transit Road in Elma. The traffic stop was made around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday.

When approaching the vehicle, deputes said they could smell marijuana. After deputies searched Hessler’s vehicle, they arrested Hessler on drug and weapons charges.
