Driver, passenger arrested after traffic stop

POMFRET, N.Y. (WIVB) – New York State Police said they stopped a vehicle in the Town of Pomfret for failing to stop at a stop sign, and ended up arresting the driver and his passenger. Both men are from Cassadaga.

Driver John Gelencser, 52, had seven suspensions on his license, for failure to pay fines and failure to answer summons. He was ticketed and will appear in court on October 14th.

Passenger Michael Foster, 50, was found to be wanted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for failure to pay a fine for driving while intoxicated.
