Drivers rescued from vehicles after two-car crash

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two drivers were trapped in their vehicles Wednesday morning after a head-on crash on Grand Island Boulevard, between Bedell and Baseline Roads. A car and a pickup truck collided around 7:30 a.m.

First responders used the jaws of life to remove 30-year-old Nicole Goodwin, of Niagara Falls, from the car that was badly damaged in the crash. Crews also removed 53-year-old Michael Adamczyk, of Derby, from the pickup truck that landed upside down after the accident.

Both drivers suffered non life-threatening injuries. They were taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.
