Students to explore health and science fields

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Students from the Health Sciences Charter School will explore careers throughout western New York on Thursday for “MASH Camp.” Students participate in this event twice each year.

Students will learn about careers at various locations such as Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Empire Genomics, Kenmore Mercy Hospital and Hauptman Woodward Research Institute. Students will talk to doctors, scientists, lab technicians, engineers and pediatricians to learn about their career pathways and to explore career options in the health and sciences fields.

Students at the school come from the home districts of Buffalo, Amherst, Clarence, Cheektowaga, Kenmore, Lancaster, Lackawanna and Tonawanda. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
