Police locate teen girl who was missing for over a month

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Police say they have located a 15-year-old girl in Niagara Falls who had been missing for more than a month.

Nina Johns, a student at Kenmore West High School, was last seen leaving her home in the Town of Tonawanda on August 21. Town of Tonawanda Police asked the public for help finding Johns on their Facebook page Wednesday.

A few hours after asking the public for help, officers say Johns was located and is safe.

No further details were released.
