Drug paraphernalia found in home where teen was shot before going to school

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 15-year-old boy was shot inside a home where police say they found drug paraphernalia before fleeing and walking to School #197.

Police say the teen was inside a home in the 200 block of Carl Street, possibly with others, when an intruder entered and fire a shot. The teen was grazed by a bullet, possibly from a pellet gun, as he attempted to flee.

Officers were called to the scene around 9:30 a.m., after the teen walked inside School #197. Police say they found drug paraphernalia inside the Carl Street home where the boy was shot.

The teen was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

Police did not say if there are any suspects in the case. The teen’s name was not released.
