Tavares returns for 24th season with Bandits

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – John Tavares will be back for his 24th season this winter, signing a one-year contract with the Bandits today.

Tavares is the NLL’s all-time leader in games played (296), goals (803), assists, (914), and points (1,717).

“I believe we have a great nucleus of players in Buffalo and there’s no reason we can’t get back to being a championship team,” Tavares said in a press release.

The Bandits also signed six others Friday, including Alex Kedoh Hill, Tyler Ferreira, Mike Melnychenko, Jordan Critch, Matthew Bennett, and Jonathan Newhouse.
