UB hits the court for second season under Hurley

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) – The UB Bulls are going into their second season under head coach Bobby Hurley, trying to build off last year’s 19-win season.

The Bulls opened practice Friday afternoon with a much younger roster than we saw last season. Among the players they have to replace: MAC Player of the Year Javon McCrea.

Hurley says he expects to play to the strengths of his roster with an up-tempo style.

“I think this team has elite athletic ability and the ability to get up and down the floor. Hopefully our defense is where it needs to be, to create some turnovers and get out into the open court… showcase that athletic ability,” said Hurley.

The Bulls open the season November 14th at home against South Dakota State.
