NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Niagara Falls pastor is calling on more people to step forward and stand proudly as snitches. Pastor Pridgen addressed his congregation at True Bethel Baptist Church, in Niagara Falls, Sunday, encouraging them to come forward to authorities if they have information on a crime.

Pastor Pridgen decided to launch the campaign after 19-year-old Marquis Scott was shot and killed last weekend in Niagara Falls. Police are still looking for the gunman.

Pridgen said, “I’m encouraging our youth, our young people in our community to be a snitch.”

“A snitch was a bad word for a long time. ‘Don’t snitch.’ ‘I’m not a snitch,’ so I pulled out a t-shirt that says, ‘I am a snitch’ and I’m encouraging people to snitch. If you see it, say it. If you know it, tell it, it’s not a bad thing.”
