Police also charged Brandon May, 27 of Springville, with DWI, reckless driving, speed unreasonable and imprudent, unsafe start in traffic and avoiding a traffic control device. Investigators say May was racing another vehicle in the area of South Buffalo Street and Jewett Holmwood Road when he cut through several parking lots and cut-off a patrol car as he pulled back on the road.

Orchard Park police issued about 50 tickets Sunday to drivers for vehicle and traffic infractions.
