Car strikes two teen girls

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) – A car struck two teenagers early Sunday morning in Jamestown. Police said a car was traveling on Washington Street, near West 8th Street, around 12:50 a.m. when it struck a two girls who were in the road.

Police said the 13-year-old girl, from Jamestown, was seriously injured and taken by Starflight to Women and Children’s Hospital. The 16-year-old girl, from Lakewood, was injured and taken to WCA Hospital where she was treated and released.

Police said the teenagers were not in the crosswalk and not crossing with the light. Investigators are working to learn more about the accident. If you have details you can call 483-7537.
