Fire starts in car, travels to two homes

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Fire marshals are investigating the cause of an overnight fire in Buffalo.

Flames broke out in two homes on Sherman Street around 2 a.m. Buffalo Fire Commissioner Garnell Whitfield said a car between the houses went up in flames and traveled up the sides of the homes.

The fire caused about $100,000 of damage to the car and homes.
