UB women’s hoops picked to win MAC East

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The University at Buffalo is the preseason favorite to win the MAC East in women’s basketball.

The Bulls picked up eight of a possible 12 first-place votes in today’s preseason poll – a significant step for a program that has improved by leaps and bounds the last two seasons.

“We’ve done nothing yet,” said head coach Felisha Legette-Jack. “We’re still hunting right now. We’re so ready to tell our story. And if we’re relaxed and think we’ve done something, then the reason why we play the game will be lost. We’re going to come after some people. We remember that we lost a lot of games that were close, and we certainly want those games back.”

The Bulls open the season at home against Siena on Friday, November 14th.
