DOT starts lane restrictions at Peace Bridge Plaza

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Drivers may need to plan extra time for travel near the Peace Bridge. New York State Department of Transportation will start lane restrictions at the United States plaza on Monday. There will be a detour to Baird Drive starting at 7 a.m. Monday.

The ramp allowing access to Niagara Street from the US plaza will be closed to all traffic until further notice. There are no lane restrictions on the access from the US plaza to the Interstate 190 Southbound ramp.

The Interstate 190 Northbound ramp to Niagara Street and access to the US Plaza for Canada-bound traffic, will be subject to daily lane closures from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. The Interstate 190 Southbound ramp to Porter Avenue will be reduced to one lane until further notice.
