BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Over three years after police arrested a Dunkirk man for child pornography, Shane Taylor pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Carol G. Bridge said police originally arrested Taylor, 43, in 2011 while acting on a search warrant. They found a shotgun and a computer filled with over 3,000 images of child pornography and images of violence.
In a press release, the Department of Justice said the images contained “many images depicting prepubescent children.”
The warrant and arrest were spearheaded by Special Agent James C. Spero, who headed up Immigration and Customers Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations.
Taylor pleaded guilty in front of U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara; his crime could carry a penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 13 before Arcara.
