Officials rescue man from Niagara Gorge

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – Emergency responders in Ontario were called to the Niagara Glen, a part of the Niagara Gorge, on Sunday evening. A 33-year-old Welland, Ontario man fell in the area.

Niagara Parks Police said the man was trying to climb out of the area that is not approved for climbing. He was rescued, after suffering non life-threatening injuries.

The man was transported to a hospital by ambulance. Police said charges are pending.
