Shopping pops up in Market Arcade building

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Holiday shopping is popping up in the Queen City. “Queen City Pop-Up: Holiday Edition” was launched in the Market Arcade building at 617 Main Street.

Mayor Byron Brown, the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation, Buffalo Place and Working for Downtown were on hand for the announcement.

The program is providing retailers with free storefronts for a short-term basis, courtesy of Sinatra and Company. Buffalo State College students will assist retailers with the design of their windows facing Main Street.

Five retailers were picked for the program: Buffalo Adore, Preferred Werk, Azariah’s Innocence, Uniquely You and Rust Belt Love.

The program will be in place from November 3rd through Christmas Eve. Store hours run Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
