BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man pleaded guilty in Federal court to crimes which could force him to pay a $5 million fine and keep him in jail for at least 10 years with a maximum of life behind bars.
George Torres, 52, pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing with an intent to distribute more than 200 grams of heroin and possessing a firearm in the furtherance of drug trafficking before U.S. District Judge Richard Arcara.
In 2012, Buffalo Police executed a search warrant at his home. During the search, officers seized three handguns, heroin and $368,000 in cash.
Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 24 of next year before Arcara.
