JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB)- Jamestown Police made an arrest in a hit-and-run case that occurred Friday morning around 10 a.m.
Police arrested Tyler Shirley, 27, Monday in the same gold colored minivan which witnesses observed knock down a pedestrian on Falconer St. at Bowen in Jamestown. Police arrested Shirley and charged him with felony leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and second degree aggravated unlicensed operation. They impounded his van and after an investigation learned it was involved in the accident.
Shirley allegedly ran over the pedestrian’s legs before driving away from the scene. His victim was transported to WCA Hospital and is being treated for serious injuries to the legs.
Shirley is in city jail awaiting arraignment.
