COLLINS, N.Y. (WIVB) A town of Collins woman was taken to Lakeshore Hospital after Erie County Sheriff’s deputies say they found her injured in a single car accident in the town of Collins early Saturday morning.
Erie County Undersheriff Mark Wipperman says 28 year old Tristan Edminster drove off the road near the intersection of Gowanda State and Bagdad Roads, knocking down a stop sign and a road sign.
EMS crews took Edminster to Lakeshore Hospital for treatment. She also submitted to a blood draw to determine her blood alcohol content, according to deputies. She has since been released from the hospital.
Deputies charged Edminster with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. In addition, Edminster was ticketed for not having insurance, expired registration and inspection, nd moving from a lane unsafely.
Tristan Edminster is to appear in Collins Town Court on November 26th. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Tristan is the 195th DWI arrest by Erie County deputies this year.
