Police make arrest in Jamestown hit and run

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) – Jamestown Police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run crash that happened on Friday morning, at the intersection of Falconer and Bowen Streets. A pedestrian was crossing the street when a vehicle ran over his legs.

Police said 27-year-old Tyler J. Shirley, of Jamestown, was driving the gold minivan used in the accident. Police said they found the van on Dover Street and had it impounded.

Shirley is charged with felony leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. He is being held in city jail.
