SPCA says one Dodge Kennels rescue dead, others to be up for adoption

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Only three days after rescuing over 75 animals from a Getzville business, the SPCA announced most are recovering well from various afflictions, but one chinchilla died Monday.

Friday, SPCA officials said the chinchilla looked severely underweight, possibly due to overgrown teeth from having nothing to grind them down on.

A West Highland Terrier was also reunited with its family. The SPCA release said it was found to be a boarded dog.

SPCA officials said other pets from the large rescue will become available over time. The adoption page can be found here.
