Troopers arrest man for counterfeit bills

HIGHLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) — New York State Police arrested a New Paltz man for attempting to use a forged bill Sunday.

Troopers arrested Davey Sanchez, 35, for attempting to use forged bills of smaller currency at a gas station in the Town of New Paltz.

Sanchez was charged with possession of a forged instrument in the first degree, and he was sent to Ulster County Jail after he couldn’t pay $5,000 bail.
