HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – First responders are taking extraordinary steps to get people out of their homes.
Firefighters evacuated people from mobile home parks as roofs started to collapse under the weight of more than four feet of snow.
In Hamburg, firefighters were seen carrying someone down a snow-clogged street on a stretcher. That happened Wednesday morning on Chapman Parkway.
Crews are working hard to clear roads, so first responders can access emergencies. In South Buffalo alone, the city has cleared more than 5,000 tons of snow.
Southtown residents are contacting News 4, to pass along a message of thanks to the first responders and good samaritans who are helping others during this difficult time.
