BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A massive lake effect snow storm event didn’t stop the Sabres from playing a game on Tuesday night, but the continuing onslaught of falling snow forced the organization to cancel Friday’s game.
In a press release the Sabres said Thursday the game would be postponed due to weather related reasons to Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.
“Out of respect for the fans of the Sabres, Friday’s game between the New York Rangers and Buffalo Sabres…has been postponed,” the organization said.
The Sabres moved the game previously scheduled on Feb. 20 to Dec. 15. That game is Ottowa at Buffalo, and it will be played at 7 p.m.
“Fans who are unable to attend the rescheduled games will be able to exchange thier unused tickets for tickets to any available home game,” the Sabres said in a press release. “Tickets can be exchanged on Sabres.com or (by) visiting the box office at First Niagara Center.”
Season tickets for the Nov. 21 game will be valid for the Feb. 20th game. Original Feb. 20 tickets will also be valid for the rescheduled game on Dec. 15. Season ticket holders can exchange tickets to those games for tickets to any available home game. Ticket holders may also have the price of the Dec. 15 game credited to ticket accounts for next year.
