Bills fans flock to detroit

DETROIT, MI (WIVB) — Tickets for Buffalo’s rescheduled game in Detroit were gone within 20 minutes, Saturday. They went so quickly in part because they were free.

There were also three crowds of people clamoring for them; Bills, Jets and not so neutral Detroit fans. Detroit residents are split on who to root for, but some say Buffalo could have the home field advantage, still.

“I’m rooting for the Buffalo Bills, I’m a Jim Schwartz fan,” one Detroit Lions fan said.

Another Detroit Lions fan  said he didn’t quickly forget Schwartz being carried out on the shoulders of his second stringers after Buffalo’s victory on Ford Field only a few weeks ago.

Regardless of who Detroit Fans are rooting for, they said they hope those stuck in Buffalo stay safe.

“Stay warm, guys, get out and be safe,” a Lions fan said. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
