ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB ) – Sundays are typically a day for western New Yorkers to sit back and watch Buffalo Bills football. That was supposed to be the case Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

The snow however made the NFL change plans. The Bills will now play in Detroit Monday night against the Jets. The Bills are in Detroit, Michigan after leaving Cheektowaga early on Friday. It’s taken a lot to get the players dug out and here to practice.

Players who have never shoveled snow before said good samaritans and neighbors worked together to clear out snow

“I haven’t seen anything quite like it. Wasn’t much to do but sit and stare out my window,” said Dan Carpenter.

Mario Williams said he wants to be playing at home and playing in front of his fans, and added his prayers are with everyone.

Carpenter told fans to ‘scream loud and we’ll be listening.’
