State investigates possible price gouging

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Attorney General Eric Schneiderman plans to issue a cease and desist order in a price gouging case, following this week’s snow storm. He announced that there are several active investigations into price gouging.

Schneiderman plans to offer tips to consumers who may be seeking home repairs in the storm’s aftermath.

Schneiderman said he is committed to cracking down against fraudsters trying to take advantage of consumers victimized by the storm.
