Bills awarded WR Thigpen via waivers

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Bills bolstered their special teams Wednesday, claiming Marcus Thigpen off waivers from Tampa Bay. Thigpen, a former Dolphins running back and wide receiver, is mostly a kick returner.

For his career, Thigpen has a 10.1 yards per return average on punts, while averaging 24.5 yards per kick return.

The Bills released defensive end Bryan Johnson to make room on the 53-man roster.
