YMCA honors VIP Turkey Trot runners

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The YMCA Turkey Trot is just one day away, and some of the runners are getting the VIP treatment. The YMCA hosted a special event Tuesday night to honor 119 years of Turkey Trot history.

Nineteen people who took part in 25 or more races were inducted into the Turkey Trot Quarter Century Club.

The special guest was Tom Russell, the winner of the 1958 Turkey Trot. The family of the oldest living winner of the 1936 trot attended in his honor.
