Pastor spends week with the homeless

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — It’s a task he’s taken on every year for 16 years. Pastor Eric Johns ditches the roof over his head and spends a cold week with the homeless.

His prerogative is spreading awareness about “Boxes of Love”, an initiative which helps around 3,000 families with food and supplies.

The pastor of the Buffalo Dream Center spent one day showing children how those in need live. His campaign to start making the boxes a reality begins next week. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
