Salvation Army kicks off kettle drive at FNC

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- The Salvation Army will launch its annual holiday kettle drive Friday night at First Niagara Center before the Sabres’ 7 p.m. game against the Montreal Canadiens.

Salvation Army officers will be located at arena entrances with kettles to collect donations prior to the game. Sabretooth will also be on hand to help solicit contributions for the start of the holiday season.

The holiday Kettle Campaign is the Salvation Army’s signature fund-raiser in its efforts to aid those in need in the Buffalo area. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
