NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — Lines piled up at the Niagara Falls mall Thursday. It opened at 10 p.m.
Black Friday shoppers across the nation lined up at their chosen stores. Across the nation sales are expected to be $616.9 billion through the Christmas season.
Customers say despite the lines, it was worth it.
“I’ve done this before and usually the lines go around the store, but we went in and we went out,” Amanda Benedyczak said.
The deals are better in the U.S., one Canadian said.
“The Canadians are starting to match black Friday back at home to make sure that we don’t go, but I still find that the deals are not as good,” Katrina Perko said.
The mall closes at 9 p.m. and stores have deals running every hour.
