Gas in the U.S. drops below $2

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (WIVB) — For the first time since 2010, some consumers in the U.S. are able to find gas for under $2.

Lucky consumers in Oklahoma City are the first in the nation to be able to purchase gas for $1.99 per gallon, according to GasBuddy. Although the national average is still $2.74, GasBuddy says the national average is down 51 cents per gallon from 12 months ago.

OnCue Express is currently the only station in the United States offering the low price, the second lowest price is $2.17.
