Jamestown man gets DWI after hitting pole

 

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police charged a local man with driving while intoxicated after he smashed into a utility pole in Jamestown.

Police in Jamestown say they arrested Cody Confer, 23, after he lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole.

Troopers say they noticed he smelled like alcohol while on the scene and administered field sobriety tests. He was taken in for processing where troopers said they learned he had a blood alcohol content of .14 percent.

Confer was released to a third party and will return to Town of Carroll Court at a later date.
