Deputy, K9 make drug arrest

CONCORD, N.Y. (WIVB) – An Erie County Sheriff’s Deputy, with the help of his K9 partner, made a drug arrest in Concord on Saturday. Jacob Halbert, 25, of Hamburg was stopped for speeding on Route 219.

A deputy discovered seven active suspensions on Halbert’s license, and took him into custody. The deputy said he and his K9 partner, Hayco, found a glass pipe, four straws with suspected narcotics reside, two bags of cocaine, a package of heroin, three digital scales and a bag of marijuana.

Halbert faces drug and traffic charges. He was transported to the Erie County Holding Center on $5,000 bail. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
