CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) — Parents in Clarence had their child arrested Sunday after calling in to report their car as being stolen.
Troopers responded to their house where reportedly they said their 16-year-old son may have taken the car without permission.
While Troopers searched the area for the car, the youth returned to the house with it. Troopers interviewed him and found he was in possession of illegal prescription narcotics.
Troopers arrested the youth and charged him with third degree unauthorized use of a vehicle and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He will answer the two misdemeanors in Town of Clarence Court on Dec. 18.
