Buffalo man sentenced to 21 years behind bars

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man will be spending the next 21 years of his life behind bars.

Wallace D. Peace, 39, was sentenced Tuesday to 262 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Peace was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 280 grams of crack cocaine. He was caught by New York State wiretaps on numerous transactions. He was conversing about cocaine-related transactions.

In July, 2008, police searched Peace’s residence and took digital scales, cell phones, packaging materials, 129 grams of crack cocaine and small quantities of cocaine and marijuana along with $1,157 and two firearms.
