Sabres community gives back during holidays

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Buffalo Sabres community is taking some time to give back this holiday season. Players, spouses, coaches, officials, alumni and fans are supporting community initiatives from December 8th through December 12th.

The entire team will attend a holiday party at Children’s Hospital on Wednesday afternoon. Players and patients will participate in arts and crafts, cooking decorating and a tree lighting ceremony.

The children are part of the Stone’s Buddies program, for children with life-threatening illnesses and their parents. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
