Buffalo mayor to host community, police relations forum

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- The mayor’s office announced Saturday that Mayor Byron Brown will host a community-police forum.

According to a press release, the purpose of the forum is to have “a continued dialogue on ways to build respect, trust and confidence between the community and local law enforcement.”

The mayor will be joined by the Concerned Clergy Coalition of WNY, Buffalo Police Department, BPD Internal Affairs Division, FBI, New York State Police, National Federation of Just Communities, Erie County District Attorney’s Office, Erie County Sheriff’s Office, NFTA, and the City of Buffalo Commission on Citizens’ Rights & Community Relations.

The forum will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
