BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The remnants of last month’s lake effect storm can still be seen in South Buffalo. Mounds of snow still sits on sidewalks and street corners.
Saturday, Buffalo Public Works Commissioner Steve Stepniak arrived with crews to remove some of the snow piles. The piles have been a safety concern for residents.
Neighbors were happy to see the crews. When the weather breaks in the spring, the city will be back to replace topsoil that was lost in the snow removal process.
