Sabres trade Adam to Columbus for D’Amigo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Sabres swapped minor leaguers with Columbus Tuesday afternoon, sending Luke Adam to the Blue Jackets in exchange for Binghamton-native Jerry D’Amigo.

D’Amigo has one goal and three assists in 22 career NHL games.

“We feel that this was a good deal that gave both teams a player they were looking for,” said Sabres General Manager Tim Murray in a press release. “Jerry brings a tremendous work ethic to our organization and we know he’ll have an immediate impact with the Amerks. Luke has been a steady force for our clubs since he was drafted in 2008 and we wish him luck as he joins the Blue Jackets’ organization.”
